creative.
A glimpse of my multidisciplinary design journey as a maker and problem solver, spanning architecture, entrepreneurship, and personal art.
ARUSHA, TANZANIA
I spent 4 weeks living off-grid with a Maasai family, fully immersing myself in the Masaai way of life - cooking, working, and learning from their daily routines. I won the Berkeley Travel Fellowship Award and travelled to Tanzania as a volunteer architect to document their culture and assist in designing infrastructure around the village of Engaresero.
ROLE
During this time, I assisted local surveyors in measuring the school site and collaborated with a local architect to develop design concepts.
PORTO, PORTUGAL
As part of a workshop alongside 42 global volunteers, I refurbished a small house for a family in need, collaborating with local authorities, social workers, and experts.
ROLE
I led a team of 6 designers to redo the roof structure, wall insulation and cladding of the house. I tackled spatial and structural issues through brainstorming, design, and hands-on construction.
SEATTLE, US
Coded a game using the P5JS editor through experimentation with ChatGPT. The game is designed to provide a relaxing experience for book lovers, allowing them to tap on their favorite characters and read quotes from their favorite books.
BHOPAL, INDIA
I conceptualized the revitalization of a historic park in Bhopal, transforming it from a mono-cultural unused space into a vibrant, multi-functional area. As part of a team of 8, our design was shortlisted in the top 10 and presented to an international jury at the 2017 World Architecture Festival in Berlin.
ROLE
My initial proposal led our team to qualify for the competition. Additionally, I contributed to the final design concept, focusing on the needs of the local population, identified through site observations and temporal behavior mapping.
NOIDA, INDIA
As the founder and principal designer of my firm, I created the architectural and interior designs for a family of three, blending plush yet minimalist contemporary elements.
ROLE
I developed mood boards, spatial and concept planning, selected materials, 3D visualization, and produced technical and government sanction drawings. I coordinated with various vendors and contractors to design and implement the HVAC, electrical, plumbing, automation, and other essential systems for the home.
BHOPAL, INDIA
Designed a community school in rural central India, breaking stereotypes of traditional village schools. The project aimed to create a simple yet beautiful learning space, integrating life skills like farming, archery, folk music, dance, and art to counter the sense of alienation often felt by rural children.
ROLE
I conducted research on rural schools, art forms, and local skills in central India, taking the design from concept to completion. Using tools like desk research, SWOT analysis, case studies, and conceptual planning, I developed the final design and technical drawings.
Capturing moments when time stands still during my travels.
